As we mark the first 100 days of this new administration, I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for your support, your input and the pride you show in our community. Serving as your mayor is a true honor, and I’m proud to share some of the progress we’ve made – together as a team.

This work has been a collaborative effort between our dedicated township committee, staff and the residents who continue to stay engaged and involved. At the start of 2025, we made a clear commitment to easing the burden on taxpayers while responsibly tackling the real challenges that municipalities across New Jersey are facing, and I’m proud to say we are delivering on that promise.

Key accomplishments:

Improved road safety: After years of community advocacy, we successfully implemented a new four-way stop and additional safety improvements at Clems Run and Ellis Mill roads. This long-awaited upgrade now ensures a much safer intersection for all.

Infrastructure upgrades: Cedar Road has been repaved, improving driving conditions and making daily commutes safer and smoother for residents and visitors alike.


Tax relief: In alignment with our commitment to reduce the burden on families and small businesses, we delivered a local tax decrease. We know the rising costs of essentials like electricity and groceries have taken a toll, and this budget was crafted to provide relief while maintaining responsible fiscal management and strong municipal services. Looking ahead to next year’s budget, we will continue this focus while investing in the staff and departments that serve you every day.

These accomplishments reflect our shared commitment to making Harrison Township safer, stronger, and more responsive to the needs of our residents. And this is only the beginning.

Looking ahead


We are actively working to meet the challenges ahead, including the state-mandated, low-income housing requirements through COAH (Council on Affordable Housing). Harrison Township’s fourth-round obligation includes 306 units, and we are required to submit a compliant plan by June 30. Our team is working closely with planning professionals to develop a strategy that meets these obligations while preserving the integrity and character of our community.

We also understand the concerns around warehouse development in the Richwood area. While the projects currently underway were approved prior to this administration, we are actively exploring solutions and strategies that better align future development with the values and long-term vision of Harrison Township.
