Wednesday, May 7

Adult Yarn Social: For adults and senior citizens. 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Residents are invited to come join other knitting and crochet fans for some relaxed, social yarn time. No registration required.

Evesham Township Council Meeting: All residents. 7 p.m. at the Evesham Township Municipal Building. The monthly meeting of the Evesham Township Council. No registration is required.

Thursday, May 8

Lego Challenge: Ages 5 to 13 years. 3 to 8 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Residents are invited to take on the library’s LEGO building challenge. The library staff will provide the prompts. Participants will be given a specific theme or goal to create a project either separately or together. Building with LEGO supports skill building and problem solving for children. All LEGO blocks will be provided by the library. Participants are not permitted to bring their own LEGO. No registration required.

Friday, May 9

Stay & Play: Ages 6 years and under. 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Drop in for a special play time for children and their caregivers to socialize and explore. Enjoy some books, sensory toys, basketball, scavenger hunts, Duplos, crafts, and more. Stay & Play will end with a mini-dance time and bubbles. No registration required.

Saturday, May 10

Kids Coding Class – Bring Your Own Device: Ages 7 to 12 years. 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Additional spots are available to join the Marlton Kids Tech Club to learn about technology. Participants can make friends while learning how to code and more. No experience required. Participants must bring their own device that can run MIT Scratch. The library lends Chromebooks and Samsung Galaxy tablets. Both devices work with MIT Scratch. Parent/caregiver of non-readers must stay and assist child. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.

Monday, May 12

Stories & STEM: Ages 5 to 8 years. 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Residents are invited to listen to a book, then try a STEM challenge related to the story. This month’s challenge is based off of “Diary of a Spider” by Doreen Cronin. Participants will be designing and creating a spider cage. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.
