The Voorhees Township Police Department will be participating in the Blue Envelope Program, a proactive initiative aimed at supporting drivers on the autism spectrum and those with communication disorders. This program is designed to enhance safety and ensure positive interactions between law-enforcement officers and individuals during traffic stops.

Drivers can request a special blue envelope to securely keep important documents, such as their
driver’s license, vehicle registration, insurance details and emergency contact information. Additionally, the envelope provides officers with valuable communication tips to help reduce the potential for misunderstandings or escalations.

We invite community members to pick up envelopes and learn more about the program at the

Brian Foster at bfoster@vtpd.com.

Your participation in this initiative promotes understanding and safety within our community.
