Music Matters

Emily from M&M Music facilitated a “Music Matters” session for Women’s History Month at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cumberland County’s Youth For Change Center. She focused on famous women musicians. The club kids were given music sticks to use as they heard different kinds of music and moved according to the beat. Afterwards, they drew what came to mind as they listened to the music. This enhances the creative process by stimulating the right side of the brain, promotes a relaxed state of mind, and improves focus and attention.
