Wednesday, April 9

Stay & Play: Ages 6 years and under. 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Evesham Library. Drop in for a special play time for children and their caregivers to socialize and explore. Participants may enjoy some books, sensory toys, basketball, scavenger hunts, Duplos, crafts, and more. This event will end with a mini-dance time and bubbles. No registration required.

Evesham Township Council Meeting: All residents. 7 p.m. at the Evesham Township Municipal Building. The monthly meeting of the Evesham Township Council. No registration is required.

Thursday, April 10

Around the World Story Time: Ages 3 to 6 years. 10 to 10:30 a.m. at the Evesham Library. Join the library staff for fun stories and activities. This class will focus on building early literacy skills such as recognition of the alphabet and written language, as well as oral language skills through rhymes or songs. Caregivers are encouraged to participate in the fun. This event will focus on a different country each month. This month the class is “visiting” Brazil.

Your Medicare Toolkit – Step-by-Step Guide to Turning 65: For senior citizens. 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Evesham Library. This class is a step-by-step seminar to turning 65, or retiring after age 65 into Medicare. This workshop is designed to be practical and informative, providing participants with the knowledge and resources to help them transition into Medicare with ease. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.

Friday, April 11

Zendoodle Time: Ages 8 to 12 years. 4 to 4:45 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Art is a healthy way to relax and refocus. Using the Zentangle doodling method, participants can both relax and create a piece of art with little stress. Participants are encouraged to bring music to listen to. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.

Saturday, April 12

Kids Coding Class – Bring Your Own Device: Ages 7 to 12 years. 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Additional spots are available to join the Marlton Kids Tech Club to learn about technology.  Participants will be able to make friends while learning how to code and more. No experience required to attend. Participants are required to bring their own device that can run MIT Scratch. The library lends Chromebooks and Samsung Galaxy tablets. Both devices work with MIT Scratch. Parent/caregiver of non-readers must stay and assist their child. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.

Monday, April 14

Stories & STEM: Ages 5 to 8 years. 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Residents are invited to listen to a book then try a STEM challenge related to the story. This month’s challenge is based off of “The Great Paper Caper” by Oliver Jeffers. Participants will be designing and testing paper airplanes. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.
