Adult Yarn Social: For seniors and adults. 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Residents are invited to come join other knitting and crochet fans for some relaxed, social yarn time. No registration required.
Thursday, April 3
Start with Art: Ages 3 to 6 years. 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Evesham Library. Join the library staff for a variety of February-themed art stations for kids to get creative. Participants should dress for the mess. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.
Marlton Senior Citizen Club: Adult Seniors 55 and up. 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Gibson House Community Center (535 E. Main St.). All senior citizens ages 55 and older are welcome to attend these meetings. The meetings take place every first and third Thursday of the month. Participants enjoy coffee, donuts and regularly scheduled games and other entertainment. No registration required.
Friday, April 4
Baby Time: Ages up to 18 months. 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the Evesham Library. Join the library staff for a fun-filled interactive event, which includes stories, rhymes, movement, and more. This class focuses on baby’s early language and literacy understanding through stories and repetitive rhymes or songs. Caregivers are encouraged to participate in this bonding experience. Baby Time is also a great place to socialize with other families and meet new friends. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.
Sunday, April 6
Springtime Gnomes – Volunteer Opportunity: For young adults and teens. 1:15 to 3:15 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Residents looking for a way to give back to your community are invited to come help make springtime gnomes that will be given to local retirement homes and hospitals to help spread some cheer. Teens, young adults and their families are encouraged to come help make these figures. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.
Monday, April 7
Small Wonders Yoga: Ages 3 to 5 years. 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the Evesham Library. This yoga class is designed for preschool aged children. It will incorporate child-friendly yoga poses with stories/books, music, breathing exercises, and games. Children are encouraged to try the poses on their own, building self-confidence and body awareness. Classes are active and fun for all. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.
Cozy Crochet Club: Ages 12 to 17 years. 5 to 6 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Young residents are invited to bring a current project and get cozy with fellow crocheters or start a new project from the library’s pattern selection – participants may use the library’s yarn stash. Beginners are welcome and can learn basic stitches to get started on a project. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.
Writers of the Lost Ink: Ages 16 to 18 years. 6 to 7 p.m. at the Evesham Library. This is a writing group where young adults will get to share writing samples, follow creative prompts, and workshop current projects together. It is not an instructive class, but rather meant to be a group setting where young adults can help one another with their skills. Participants are encouraged to bring friends and should bring a writing sample for the first meeting.
