County libraries offer social work aid

The Camden County Library System now has a full-time social worker to provide free, confidential support to residents.

T’Keyah Hose will travel to all library branches monthly to aid residents in the areas of housing and food assistance; SNAP benefits; employment and utility bill assistance; senior resources, health care and insurance; and mental-health and counseling referrals, among other services.

There will be flexible options for accessing support. To make an appointment, call (856) 633-6216 or email socialworker@camdencountylibrary.org.

“We recognize that our community members face a range of challenges, and we want to provide a safe and accessible place where they can find support,” said Linda A. Devlin, county library director. “By having a full-time social worker on staff, we can connect individuals with the resources they need to thrive.”

The announcement coincides with National Social Work Month in March and Social Worker Appreciation Day on Wednesday, March 19.
