The Indian Mills Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a shed fire close to the woods that quickly spread to trees and other land due to the gusting winds on March 4. The incident was quickly upgraded, bringing additional resources from surrounding towns and New Jersey Forest Fire Service units. The bulk of the fire was knocked down in about a half hour utilizing about 15,000 gallons of water.
