Moorestown Library. 2 p.m. This program will feature Joseph Badowski, author of “406: A Story about the Greatest Baseball Game Ever Played.” Although the focus of the book is the seventh game of the 1960 World Series, it is the relationship of the characters that will inspire readers. Moorestown Library. 7 p.m. Gary Ell, member of the Historical Society’s board of trustees, will speak on a new project which will shed light on the early suffrage movement in Moorestown. This program is part of the New Jersey Speaks Lecture Series. Register on the library website.
Non-Fiction Addiction Book Group. Moorestown Library. 7 p.m. Join participants in discussing non-fiction reads with monthly changing themes. Meet the Instruments: Woodwinds. Moorestown Library. 10:30 a.m. Participants will learn all about the instruments that make up the woodwind section of the orchestra. Attendees can meet the musicians after the show, ask questions and enjoy the instrument “petting zoo,” a chance to touch and hold some of the woodwind instruments. This program is made possible through a grant from the D’Olier Foundation.
Pasta Fest. First Methodist Church. 446 East Camden Ave. Enjoy a pasta meal while supporting Moorestown’s Boy Scout Troop 44. At $10 per person, enjoy a pasta meal with a choice of two sauces, meatballs or mild sausage, salad, drink and dessert. Gluten-free is available upon request.
