Mantua’s Lawson Cox VFW Post 7679 honored former mayor and deputy mayor Pete Scirrotto on Jan. 12 for his more than three decades on the township committee.

Commander Martin Valdez pointed to Scirrotto’s eager support of veterans and the VFW post during his 33 years of service. Mayor Bob Zimmerman, Committeewoman Eileen Lukens, Committeeman Jack Steen and Committeeman Jay Snyder all said they were all thrilled to be on hand to honor their great friend Scirrotto.
