Residents and social committee members of The Mews at Laurel Creek in Moorestown – Joanie Perry, Lynn Morsell and Nancy DiNubile – once again organized a toy drive for the children and families of the Moorestown Ecumenical Neighborhood Development (MEND) that netted 150 gifts, stocking stuffers and more than $575 worth of monetary donations and gift cards for the MEND holiday fund.

ā€œFor six consecutive years, the Mews at Laurel Creek community has come together to ensure the children in our MEND housing sites have a memorable holiday,ā€ said Eileen Wirth, MEND’s president and CEO. ā€œWe’re so grateful – this is the true spirit of the holidays.ā€

Perry and Morsell spearheaded the drive in 2018 and hope to continue it for years to come.

ā€œThe social committee and the community look forward to the toy drive all year long,ā€ Perry noted. ā€œThe generosity and the efforts of our residents really help make this toy drive so successful. We’re already looking forward to continuing this tradition for our seventh year, to ensure a joyful holiday for all the families at MEND.ā€
