Around Town: Candy Canes, Gumdrops…and a Cup of Tea

Two recent events at the Vineland Historical and Antiquarian Society brought holiday spirit to all in attendance. On a Sunday earlier this month, children and families gathered at the museum to build and decorate gingerbread houses. All the materials were provided to each family, and each went home with a gingerbread creation to enjoy throughout the season. Hot chocolate and cookies, festive music, and a visit from Santa were added treats.

Then on Sunday December 8, a “Teas the Season” Holiday Tea Party was hosted by the Society. The Willow’s Wisp Tea Tavern and Bakery (Market Street, Salem) provided tea service and treat pairings for this special event. The Cape May Chorus performed favorite holiday tunes.

The museum was beautifully decorated for the season and was also the site of an Open House last Friday.
