Wednesday, Dec. 11

Toddler Time: Ages 18 to 26 months. 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. at the Evesham Library. Join this class for stories, movement, and activities designed for toddlers on the go. Ms. Jenn will focus on building early literacy skills through naming colors, counting, letter recognition, etc. in a fun, interactive environment. Caregivers are encouraged to participate in the fun! Toddler Time is also a great place to socialize with other families and meet new friends.

Preschool Story Time: Ages 3 to 6 years. 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the Evesham Library. Preschoolers and their guardians are invited to join Ms. Chris for fun stories, activities, and a craft. This class will focus on building early literacy skills such as recognition of the alphabet and written language, as well as oral language skills through rhymes or songs. Caregivers are encouraged to participate in the fun. Preschool Story Time is also a way to socialize with other families and meet new friends. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.

Friday, Dec. 13

Zendoodle Time: Ages 8 to 12 years. 4 to 4:40 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Art is a healthy way to relax and refocus. Using the Zentangle doodling method, kids can both relax and create a piece of art with little stress. Kids may bring music to listen to. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.

Saturday, Dec. 14

Marlton Kids Technology Show: Ages 4 to 12 years. 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Young residents are invited to join the young leaders in technology at the Marlton Kids Tech Club for their end of the year technology show. Children ages 4-12 years are welcome to participate or to watch the show. To participate, simply bring a technology project that the child or their team has built. No project is too simple. All skill levels are welcome. Children will take turns showing their projects to the group. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.

Sunday, Dec. 15

Chinese Knotting Workshop: Ages 8 to 15 years. 1 to 2 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Learn the art of Chinese knotting with Ms. Ting from Cherry Hill Huaxia Chinese School. This month the class will be making Christmas Trees. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.

Holiday Light Parade: All residents. 4 to 7 p.m. on Main Street. Evesham Township, Evesham Fire-Rescue and the Evesham Township Police Department are once again partnering to host the second annual Evesham Township Holiday Light Parade and Festivities on Main Street. Holiday Light Parades are vehicle parades where participants decorate their vehicles with a holiday theme and lights. Such displays often feature fire and EMS apparatus, police vehicles, local car clubs, local businesses and more.

The parade route will be running from Plymouth Avenue to the intersection of Maple Avenue/Main Street. Spectators are invited to stand by and enjoy the decorated vehicles. The parade will then conclude with the annual Holiday Tree Lighting at the corner of Main St. and Maple Ave. Residents are invited to get pictures with Santa Claus at Kain Park, enjoy free hot chocolate stations along Main Street, take a ride on the holiday train, watch some short holiday projected on a big screen, enjoy festive music and more. No registration required.

Monday, Dec. 16

Holiday Concert: All residents. 7 to 8 p.m. at the Gibson House Community Center. Celebrate this festive time of year with Evesham Township Senior Services as it hosts a complimentary “Holiday Concert” at the Gibson House Community Center. There will be carols and sing-a-longs, hot chocolate and treats. No registration required.
