Happenings around Gloucester County

The South Jersey Museum of American History is located at 138 Andaloro Way. Open from Thursday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information call (856) 812-1121, email sjmuseum@aol.com and visit southjerseymuseum.org.

Through Feb. 2, 2025 – The museum will feature O and O-27 gauge toy trains from the 1930’s, 1940’s and 1950’s. Lionel, Marx and American Flyer engines, with adjoining cars, will race on two diverse platforms. Vintage Plasticville buildings from the 1950’s will further augment the display. Vegetation and auxiliary structures will give the platforms a traditional holiday appearance.

Dec. 6 – 10 a.m. to noon – Health Screening at Gloucester County Store.

Dec. 7, 21 – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Sheriff’s Department Child Seat Check at Gloucester County Store.

Wednesday, Dec. 11

Council meeting at 7 p.m., 125 Virginia Ave. Ordinance meeting is cancelled.

Monroe Township Police Explorers

Meetings first and third Monday each month at 7 p.m., Monroe Township police headquarters. Open to those ages 14-21. Learn career-based skills designed to educate and prepare for a career in law enforcement or criminal justice.
