J. Mason Tomlin Elementary School preschoolers got to connect with students in the fourth, fifth and sixth grades for the Tall and Small Pine Buddy Program, an idea put into practice on Nov. 18, when the classes of preschool teacher Heather Helder and sixth-grade teacher Laurie Heckert came together to create a Thanksgiving project. “It was wonderful to see our youngest students building bonds with our oldest students,” the Mantua school district noted on Facebook.
