Mayor Jackie Veasy and township councilwoman Dr. Krystal Hunter joined members of the patient community to recognize the South Jersey Fertility Center’s 35 years of service and commitment to the area.

Dr. Stephen Sawin has been the medical director and lead physician at the Marlton center for 22 years and is one of four partners. He noted the center’s key to longevity stems from the feeling of family the staff has cultivated among patients.

“The longevity of SJFC shows our continued commitment to the patients in this region who need first-class, cutting-edge fertility treatments,” he said. “The fact that we have been providing fertility services – including IVF ( in vitro fertilization) for 35 years – speaks to our strong culture as a practice.

“We feel like a family, and I think the patients sense that.”

Since its founding in 1989, the South Jersey Fertility Center has been a pioneer in reproductive medicine and is recognized as the longest continuously running IVF center in the region. It has served more than 40,000 patients and celebrated the births of nearly 20,000 babies.

“We are all motivated by the opportunity to help our patients build the families that they have dreamed of having,” Sawin explained. “There is no greater joy than witnessing a successful pregnancy, particularly after our patients have struggled sometimes for years for this happy outcome.

“We are always trying to improve all aspects of the way that we provide care for our patients,” he added, “such as ease of access, patient experience, fertility success rates and complimentary services.”

Veasy commended the center’s staff.

“For the past 35 years, South Jersey Fertility Center has transformed the lives of thousands of patients, giving them the priceless gift of parenthood,” she noted in a township proclamation. “Each and every day the center and its staff serve as pioneers to advance the field of reproductive medicine as they help patients achieve their dreams of starting or growing their families.

“At a time when some would seek to attack fertility science, Evesham Township is so very proud to serve as a home to a facility that has earned the trust of thousands of individuals and couples as they navigate the deeply personal journey of infertility.”
