Delran: Election results

Voters in Delran Township went to the polls on Nov. 5 and elected members for mayor, township council and school board of education.

The Burlington County Clerk’s Office has posted results from the election on its website, all of which are unofficial until a vote-counting process that could take more than a week is complete.

Vote totals do not include late mail-in and provisional ballots; they are expected to be tallied at a later date.

Delran Mayor

Democratic incumbent Gary Catrambone faced Republican candidate Harry “Barnes” Hutchins in the race for mayor.

As of Nov. 7, Hutchins leads with 3,962 votes and Catrambone has received 3,704 votes. There are six personal choice votes.

Delran Township Council

Four candidates vied for the two council at large seats. As of Nov. 7, Democratic incumbent Lynn Jeney has received the most votes with 3,939 followed by former councilman Tom Morrow with 3,892 votes.

Democratic candidates Cassandra R. Smith and William J. Spych have received 3,665 votes and 3,647 votes, respectively.

Delran Township Board of Education

Four candidates vied for three, three-year board seats. As of Nov. 7, Incumbent Amy Rafanello has received the most votes with 5,142 followed by incumbent Michelle Reissman with 5,313 votes and incumbent John Brophy with 4,904 votes.

Michael C. Kelley has received 2,176 votes.

There are 81 personal choice votes.

Jeffrey J. George has received 5,794 votes for the uncontested one, two-year unexpired term. There are 34 personal choice votes.

Delran Township Fire District No. 1

Two candidates ran in an uncontested race for two commissioner seats. James T. Turcich received 5,215 votes and Joseph Seybert received 4,943 votes. There are 35 personal choice votes.
