THURSDAY, Nov. 14

The Moorestown Library will host Essential Tools for Students and Teachers when Dealing with Bullying Behavior at 6:30 p.m. This workshop will provide students, teachers and parents the essential tools needed when dealing with bullying behavior. Presenter Jack Gardner will define bullying behavior and how it effects the long- and short-term growth of adolescents. Also discussed will be the warning signs and what we can do to eliminate the bullying behavior in our schools. Registration is required on the library website.

SATURDAY, Nov. 16

Friends Coffee Table Book Sale. Moorestown Library. 10 a.m. Stop by and shop for holiday bargains at the annual Friends Coffee Table Book Sale. Books are $5 each. All proceeds benefit the library.

Kids Chess Club. Moorestown Library. 10 a.m. This event is for children in grades three through eight. Participants will learn the names of chess pieces, the rules of movements on the board and basic strategies for playing the game, then they will pair up with an opponent to play chess games. There will also be open play space for experienced chess players. Registration is required on the library website.

SUNDAY, Nov. 17

Kids Drop-in Craft. Moorestown Library. 2 p.m. For children of all ages and their families. Drop into the Collab Lab to decorate sandwich bags for Every Sandwich Counts, a community-wide initiative encouraging families to make sandwiches for Cathedral Kitchen in Camden and Project Home in Philadelphia. This event is presented by Teen Advisory Board member Ella Hovnanian.

MONDAY, Nov. 18

Baby Time for ages 0-2. Moorestown Library. 10 a.m. Caregivers must stay in the room with the children for this event.

Open Play Time for children of all ages. Moorestown Library. 10:30 a.m. Caregivers must stay in the room with the children for this event.

ESL Conversation Group. Moorestown Library. 5 p.m. This program will invite general, engaging conversation that will guide the class. Registration is required on the library website.

Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group. Moorestown Library. 7 p.m. The caregiver support group is for family and friends caring for a loved one with some type of dementia. To register, please call the Alzheimer’s New Jersey Helpline at (888) 280-6055 or complete a Support Group Inquiry Form on the library’s website.

TUESDAY, Nov. 19

Story Time for ages three and up. Moorestown Library. 10 a.m.

Complex PTSD Support Group and Book Club. The goal of this group is to provide encouragement, support, and education in a safe environment for any adult who is struggling to overcome the effects of suffering from extended Complex-PTSD. History Talk: Oppenheimer and Princeton. Moorestown Library. 7 p.m. Inspired by Christopher Nolan’s award-winning film, this talk showcases the places where Oppenheimer lived and worked in Princeton, shares stories about local academics recruited to work on the Manhattan project, and provides additional context not explored in the movie. Sponsored by the Friends of the Moorestown Library.

Gardening with the Master Gardeners: Evergreens and Decorating for the Holidays. Moorestown Library. 1:30 p.m. Join the Rutgers Master Gardeners of Burlington County to learn about different types of evergreens and using them for them for the upcoming holiday.

Anime Club for students in grades 6-12. Moorestown Library. 6:30 p.m. Come meet other anime and manga fans and enjoy all things anime/manga. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Registration is required on the library website.
