Creative Writing Group. 6:30 p.m. Haddonfield Public Library. Open to writers of any experience level.  In informal sessions, simple writing exercises will give the participants the chance to stay in the practice of writing, tap into their own creativity, and benefit from being around other creative people.   Meet other writers and share your own work in an encouraging setting. Prose, poetry, for the stage/screen, all styles and interests welcome.  Registration is required at haddonfieldlibrary.org.

Camden County Certified Gardeners Lecture. 6 to 7 p.m. This presentation discusses the history of roses, their significance in art, culture and their use by the First Peoples of North America. It includes the basics of roses by variety of color, scent, and growth habit as well as the details of rose care. It seeks to debunk the myth that roses are difficult to maintain.  Register online at haddonfieldlibrary.org.

Saturday, Nov. 16

Story and Craft with Local Author Euginie Wong. 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Haddonfield Public Library. Eugenie Wong, local author of Penny’s Day on the Farm, will read her book followed by a themed craft. Books will be available for purchase and to be personalized.

Wednesday, Nov. 20

Environmental  Board Meeting. 7 p.m. Borough Hall.

Thursday, Nov. 21

Open information session on advocating for children in foster care. 6 to 7 p.m. Haddonfield PublicLibrary.Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children of Atlantic, Cape May, & Camden Counties is presenting an information session to give a short 30 minute presentation on volunteering with our organization in hopes to gain more advocates to help children in foster care.

Commissioner Meeting. 7:30 p.m. Borough Hall.

Tuesday, Dec. 10

Haddonfield Garden Club. Noon. Lutheran Church, 204 Wayne Ave., Haddonfield. There will be refreshments and socializing at noon followed by a speaker at 12:30p.m. followed by a business meeting. Members will bring holiday centerpieces and share their creative secrets by giving tips on decorating for the holidays, and will also have the opportunity to enter a drawing to take home a centerpiece. Guests are welcomed and admission is free, but please bring a canned food item for donation.
