Inspiring Life Together was founded by Spring Williams based upon the outpouring of support she and her family received during her battle with breast cancer years ago. The organization’s Inspired by Comedy event was held at the Community House of Moorestown last year, and again on Oct. 6.

Inspiring Life Together (ILT), an organization that provides goods and services to women and their families while they are undergoing treatment for breast cancer, held its annual Inspired by Comedy event at the Community House of Moorestown on Oct. 6.

Hosted by Starfire with special guest LaTice, attendees came out in their best 80s fashion for an 80s edition murder mystery game with Riddlesbrood. There was also a live DJ, food, drinks, a 50/50, raffles and a prize for the best 80s fashion.

“Everything is embedded in comedy, but we are going to have people coming out in their 80s fashion and we will still have our hour of appetizers and social time, and then we will honor one of our mothers (Angelina Carione) who just passed away in August due to breast cancer,” said ILT founder Spring Williams, ahead of the event.

Carione passed away on Aug. 21. To honor her memory, ILT started the Angelina Fund, which will go to support motherless children due to breast cancer.

“Angelina was a big, integral part of the (Moorestown) community,” Williams said. “She served on different committees in town, and she was also an employee of the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA), and she was just a very loving, kind-hearted person who just was about giving to other people and helping.”

“Our organization is committed to helping her son (Alex Sherwood) as he continues on through school, and it also made us be more mindful of other children that are motherless due to breast cancer,” Williams added. “The Angelina Fund will be used to help support children in different ways that are motherless due to breast cancer.”

ILT has other events coming up including the WARRIOR Rhythm Fundraiser at Double Nickel Brewing Company on Sunday, the Pink Out Ride 2024 at LifeTime gym in Mount Laurel on Saturday, Oct. 19, and Costumes for a Cause: Honoring Angelina, at Strawbridge Lake Park on Sunday, Oct. 20. Information for these events can be found at www.inspiringlifetogether.org.

“The organization was founded because of the outpouring of love and support from friends and family and community members, so each year when people continue to come out together with their friends and their family, it just goes to show much love people have and how much they’re willing to give and support others,” Williams said. “It’s a constant reminder that we’re never alone.”
